I Will Rescue You and You Will Give Me Glory

image_editor_1440640838258I named this site “May We Have Eyes to See Him”, because I knew that some, maybe even much, of what I wanted to talk about was how I “see” Him, in my everyday life.  Sometimes I’m just amazed at His goodness.  Take today for instance…

I made a trip to Mt. Vernon, Illinois to meet with some business owners.  Some I had appointments with, some I did not.  To make a very long story short, I had some unanticipated interruptions in my day and I was running behind schedule.

I had to make sure I was out of Mt. Vernon by a certain time, so that I could be home in time for a special family dinner.  I was bound and determined that I was going to stop and see ALL of the businesses owners that I had intended to see, and still get out on time…though I wasn’t sure how I was going to make that happen.

Left on my agenda was a Pizza place, and a photographer that I wanted to meet with…I knew it was going to be a struggle to see both, and still get back home in time.  Here’s where God helped me out.

I went to the pizza place first.  Just as I was wrapping up that conversation, the photographer that I was wanting to meet with walked IN THE DOOR.  She JUST HAPPENED to order lunch from that pizza place today.  And I JUST HAPPENED to be there when she came to pick up her order.  I didn’t have to take the travel time to go see her, God brought her to me.  Amazing.

Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.” Psalm 50:15

Most of the time we give “coincidence” the glory, but because I fully believe God helped me out today, I’m giving Him the glory.

May we have eyes to see Him.
